Watch the Nier: Automata trailer from E3 2016:

You can download it now for free at the American, Japanese and European PlayStation Store, with the demo having around 4.4GB. Those who’ve played the demo said the gameplay runs for about 35 minutes of awesome metal hack n’ slash, but we’ll see for sure once I get my copy and play it myself. Will record the gameplay so wait for it on my YouTube channel! Here’s the description of the demo in the PS Store:

Join androids 2B and 9S and their ferocious battle to reclaim a machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machine lifeforms,” it says. “Experience a glimpse of the action-packed and high-speed battles rendered in fluid 60 FPS, against hordes of enemies within a beautifully desolate open world. Nier: Automata is a fresh take on the action role-playing game genre that gracefully blends mesmerising action with a captivating story.

To those who’ve been fans of the Drakengard series, including NieR, you already know how awesome this game will be. But for the curious new players, here’s what sums up the cult franchise: a twisted story, vast open world, fast-action gameplay, unique and engaging battle system, and oh god, the music, as composed by the great Keiichi Okabe, is godsent. His songs in NieR and Drakengard 3 gave me the chills.
