Vikings, A Feast From The Sea! Who still doesn’t know about this place? If you don’t, then it’s time to get reading and start planning a visit here! But before anything, check this photo montage I made back then when their branch first opened in SM Marikina:

If you haven’t been here yet, then you probably have  a lot of questions about this awesome eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant! How does the place fare, you ask? Let me get straight to the point: the place is huge, they have a massive selection of food and drinks, from appetizers to desserts, and they also have a very accommodating staff! I’d want to avoid bashing other competing buffet establishments, but Vikings is pretty much up there in the 1k price mark.

Fun fact: they have roughly around 265 varieties of international dishes, mainly Western, Asian and Mediterranean cuisines! For the drinks, they have around 22 different kinds of hot and cold beverages. Dare to try every single one of them? Check out the photos to get your stomachs grumbling!

I was surprised that something that big could fit into a place like that. It was totally unexpected. You can even call it a food-filled department store. The whole restaurant spans to a whopping 1,700 square meters, so I guess that pretty much explains it. Vikings Marikina can simultaneously house 475 hungry patrons, who will be served by 65 hospitable waiters and waitresses– Front of the House team (FoH), as they call it.

Let’s get down to business. Here are their current prices:

On to the food and drinks! There’s too many to summarize, so here’s the list of cuisines they serve: American, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, Spanish, Italian, and more! I want to give a description to the desserts, but I’m finding it quite hard to categorize them properly. Truth be told, it will be impossible to count them all while eating them. You’ll be sure to give up half-way. They told me this, though: “Chocolate Fondue station, Ice Cream Station, Puto Bumbong/Bibingka, Taho Station, Yogurt, Cakes and Pastries, Halo-Halo, Fresh Fruits, etc.” What’s also awesome is that they have shakes and draft beer. And yes, unlike other buffet places, the drinks are already inclusive!

They also have birthday, holiday and other special season promos so be sure to check their website out for more info!

My overall experience: Well, let’s just say I haven’t had any bad experience here yet on the many times I’ve dined here. Their dishes are freshly cooked whether it’d be from the pan, fryer, oven, boiler, what have you. Though other dishes are only cooked when ordered, but that is only to assure food taste and quality won’t be compromised. Sometimes, you can even request to the waiters to get some grub or drinks for you so you won’t stand up that much anymore. They’re quite hospitable- so hospitable that even one time, after placing a wiener stick on the side of the table, a waitress immediately took it fast enough before I can swallow what I was chewing. Every after few minutes, they kept refilling our drinks, getting our used plates, and asking us if there’s anything else we need. That’s quality service right there!
