Elephant Wireless Mouse ELE-M521 Unboxing and Review

Category: Wireless Mouse

Elephant has always been a trusted brand of mine when it comes to wireless peripherals. And when one eventually breaks due to overuse or old age, there’s no doubt that I’ll be going for the same brand. Unless another brand would step forward and match them in terms of affordability, durability and performance.

Alas, my Elephant Extreme bade goodbye a few days ago as it probably had too much of a beating when I raid in Final Fantasy XIV. It’s not entirely broken- it’s just that the scroll that doesn’t work properly anymore (which can be very inconvenient). It did last for almost two years though so it had a pretty good run.

Instead of buying another Elephant Extreme (whose design I like the most), I decided to go for a different model: the ELE-M521. If the Extreme is for gaming and the Milki is for casual use, then this one looks like it stands in the middle for both aesthetically (they all have the same features anyway). I like the fact it has lesser crevices than the Extreme, giving it lesser places for dust to settle in.

I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and I’m pretty content with the overall feel and function of the mouse. Very responsive, and replacing the batteries isn’t really a hassle since you won’t be changing them for weeks to months (depends on usage). This is really the best wireless mouse under P1,500, and it’s only P495!
