After hearing a lot about Brickfire, I finally got to try the place on my sister’s boyfriend’s birthday! Not really sure what to expect, I just let sis and Paul order the best they were able to try- and that’s the Duke– and they’re right! The place just became an awesome foodie option for me when in Katipunan.
Finding the place is a cinch! I bet everyone knows the McDonald’s located in Quezon City’s Katipunan Ave. fronting the prestigious university of Ateneo de Manila? Just go to the parallel street behind it called Xavierville Ave. (everyone knows this as well) and voila! It’s on the 2nd floor of the building.
The place is pretty spacious and can house more than ten groups at once. Waiting is another thing though, they have to cook your steaks to perfection so you’d wait around 10-20 mins.
On to the main event! This here picture below is The Duke: ‘THE tenderloin where Salt & Pepper meets Premium Beef!’ This is their flagship dish where the Cowgirl Annie comes to a close second. I guess the difference between the two would be that the Cowgirl Annie would have bones and tendons served with it whereas the Duke would be just your pure unadulterated tender beef. With just a little price difference, I’d highly suggest you’d go for The Duke. Want some nice quality steak for cheap? Here you go!
Below are pictures of their menu as showcased in the counter where you order, having their Specialties Steaks on the first and then the Starters & Sides, Main Dish, Pasta, All-day Breakfast and drinks on the second photo. Definitely try to dine here when you can- you can also visit their SM North and Marcos Hi-way branches!
